Actor of ‘Death of a Salesman’ Philip Seymour Hoffman found dead in Manhattan Sunday, dies at 46 of an apparent drug overdose.

The news was confirmed this morning that the Oscar-winning actor had been found dead in New York
Mr Hoffman won the best actor Academy Award in 2006 for the film, Capote.

Philip Seymour Hoffman in ‘Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead is a 2007 crime drama film directed by Sidney Lumet, his last feature film before his death in 2011.

The 46-year-old actor was found unconscious in the bathroom of his fourth-floor apartment in the Pickwick House around 11:15 a.m. by screenwriter David Bar Katz, who called 911, a law-enforcement official said.

Investigators found two bags of what is believed to be heroin inside the fourth-floor apartment He was pronounced dead at the scene. “He had a needle sticking out of his arm,” according to Wjs.com report.

Just before 7 p.m., medical examiners finally removed Mr Hoffman’s body from the apartment where it had remained all day.

Crime scene unit investigators spent the entire afternoon and early evening collecting evidence from the home.
