Lady Gaga Defends Geisha at AMA


(UPDATED) Mother monster Lady Gaga defends Katy Perry’s geisha-inspired American Music Awards 2013 performance of “Unconditionally”, reportedly accused of being racially and culturally insensitive.

The 29-year-old singer performed her new single “Unconditionally” on the awards show while dressed in a long floral kimono and had her hair styled in the typical updo with bangs.

Lady Gaga said in an interview with Carson Daly on Los Angeles’ AMP Radio. “Maybe it’s because ‘Unconditionally’ means you’re supposed to love no matter what geishas are paid?”.

“I think people are generally too sensitive and they should just leave her be, but you know, I’m not really the person to ask.” Gaga added.

Mother monster also defends Justin Bieber ‘He’s the Boss’showed her support for the 21-year-old pop star and defended his character.

“For a boy who’s often misunderstood, Bieber has Mother Monster’s empathy — and Justin noticed. He thanked her on Twitter, saying “@ladygaga thank u for the kindness.”

Recently, Lady Gaga’s American Horror Story character revealed as hotel owner Elizabeth- “American Horror Story” was created by the co-creators of “Glee,” but the shows have little in common besides that. The show revolves around the Harmons, a family of three, who move from Boston to Los Angeles in order to reconcile past anguish.
