Bomb attack targeted the police station in Istanbul’s Sultanbeyli neighborhood and caused a fire that collapsed part of the three-story building. Buildings nearby was also damaged including 20 cars parked along the area.
Five police officers and two civilians was wounded on the Bomb attack. The attack came hours after an overnight bomb attack at a police station in Istanbul.The attack also comes at a time when Turkey is taking a more active role against Islamic State militants. Last month it conducted aerial strikes against ISIL positions in Syria and agreed to let the US-led coalition use its bases for its fight against ISIL.

Al Jazeera’s Bernard Smith said,”The neighborhood is right on the outside edge of Istanbul in what could be called a ‘conservative’ area, way away from the central part of the city.”
