Basha and Popoy are back on big screen, sequel of 2007 Filipino romance film trailer released.
The most unforgettable Tagalog romantic movies of all time is going on big screen as One More Chance sequel, trailer been released. It gives short detail to current lives of Popoy portrayed by John Lloyd Cruz and Basha played by Bea Alonzo, two as a married couple.
The 2007 Filipino romance film was directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, an award-winning director, released under Star Cinema. It holds the ninth highest-grossing Filipino film of all time and gained a cult after social media users often using favorite lines from the movie.
Star Cinema released the teaser trailer, “‘One More Chance’ sequel,” saying the movie will be released “soon in cinemas nationwide,” Monday. From its first story centers between Basha, a freshman in Architecture and Popoy who was majoring in Engineering, now a married couple.
The two students first met at the University of Santo Tomas. They were inseparable, did all things together. Because of their good and happy relationship, everyone thought that they would someday get married, then a sudden twist.
With Engineer Popoy building what Architect Basha have designed and planned dream house, as everything could not be more perfect. However, Basha broke up with him, asking space to grow on her own. With famous movie quotes and lines such as, “she loved me at my worst, you had me at my best and you chose to break my heart,” made everyone cry.
At the end of the story, Popoy and Basha both wanted to give their love one more chance. Thus, One More Chance sequel would continue their love story as couple. The trailer shows the couple having argument over a work-related matter, Popoy questioning its right decision of getting back together.
The 27 year-old Bea Alonzo played Basha in the movie, is a British-Filipino film and television actress, host and singer. She is currently part of ABS-CBN contract talents. While John Lloyd Cruz, 32 year-old Filipino actor, model, and occasional TV host played the role Popoy.
The two Filipino celebrities reunited in the movie Miss You Like Crazy shown 30 February 2010, a box office hit earning more than PHP 140 million in its seven-week run and still the second Filipino movie of 2010.
