A poultry truck carrying 10,000 chicks overturned in Shandong province. Villagers looted the chicks and bring them home.
Police couldn’t stop villagers nearby picking up chicks as they rushed to the scene. Drivers of cars who got stuck there also joined to get free chicks, The People’s Daily Online reported.
The crash happened Tuesday morning in Binzhou, Shandong province in eastern China. Most of the chicks survived the accident, leaving the little chicks running all over the ground. The driver of the truck did not suffer any major injuries, according reports.
The villagers were unstoppable stuffing the fluffy little chicks in boxes, plastic crates, bins and buckets. All the chicks was reportedly worth around 50,000 Yuan ($7,800).
Chicken feet is a popular foodstuff in China and are considered to be a delicacy.
Similar incidents happened in the past have resulted in significant losses to businesses.
