She had a port implanted in her arm to help treat her chronic Lyme disease which she claimed in December 2012 and been removed in 19 April 2013. The consequences of her illness includes lost the ability to read, write, or even watch TV. Currently, she is active in spreading awareness of the disease.

In order to keep away from having Lyme disease, someone must wear a protective clothing. This includes hat, long-sleeved shirt and long pants tucked into socks or boots.
