Some 87 percent of China’s AIDS infections occur through unsafe sex, according to a report by the National Health and Family Planning Commission released Wednesday.
Annual increases in syphilis infections are also caused by unprotected sex, said the report.
Every one to two years over the past decade a new infectious disease has been detected in China, despite greatly increased government spending on public health, estimated to be nine-fold from the previous decade.
The report also said canine madness killed 1,879 people in 2011, which is a 100 percent increase in the death rate. Image/Google Images
