WASHINGTON – United States President Barack Obama will be attending the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) meeting in Indonesia next month, and will also meet with Asean leaders in Brunei during the trip, the White House has announced.
Obama’s Asia trip is scheduled for October 6-12. In Indonesia, Obama will also host a meeting on the U.S.-backed Trans-Pacific Partnership trade pact with the leaders of the nations involved in the talks.
The American President will also meet with Indonesian President Bambang Yudhoyono during his stay in the country, said the White House.
Obama will travel to Brunei for the U.S.-Asean meeting and the East Asia Summit, and will meet with the Sultan of Brunei.
Also on the President’s schedule is a meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, and a speech at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit. He will then fly to the Philippines to meet with President Benigno Aquino. Image/Atlantablackstar.com
