Anonymous Philippines is staging “Million mask march” movement on November 5th.
A peaceful march to meet and greet like minded individuals
The hactivist collective anonymous march protest is free to join and invite anyone, participants are encouraged, but not required, to don masks featuring the likeness of Guy Fawkes.
The “Million Mask March” is on November 5, meet up time and place at 8am-9:30am, Quezon City Circle, its mission, “To remind this world what it has forgotten, That fairness, justice, and freedom are more than just words.”
This march, “Absolutely no violence will be tolerated. Please be respectful as there may be children present and or in the area no drugs, no alcohol out of respect for the kids.” Anonymous Philippines clearly states on its Facebook page.
“We are here today to press for a new system of government,” said one of the leaders who did not give his name.
“We are everyone and anyone. We will not go away and we will continue with our activities.”
Anonymous Philippines in black, the hacktivist chanted anti-government slogans and held placards that read: “The corrupt fear us, the honest support us, the heroic, join us.”
The hactivist collective continue waging protest against Philippine government, defaces seven Philippine government websites both national and local government agencies and a Philippine embassy website were among those defaced.
In the Philippines, the movement is protesting against perceived corruption in the legislature over the misuse of billions of dollars of development funds by politicians.
President Benigno Aquino has been hit by the scandal after one of the senators named in the case alleged that his office had misused funds.
