Singapore — A woman has been arrested in Singapore for damaging the Kinetic Rain arts sculpture at Singapore’s Changi Airport Terminal 1.
Hanging in the airport’s departure check-in hall, it is said to be the world’s largest kinetic art sculpture.
A video showing a woman in a white dress traipsing around the Kinetic Rain installation at the airport has been widely viewed online.
Police said the woman arrested is in her 30s, and that the investigation is ongoing.
A Channel NewsAsia report said the woman is not local and that she is still under detention.
Changi Airport issued a statement saying the sculpture was damaged by a member of the public on Saturday, and appeared to be shut down Sunday.
“We have referred the matter to the police and our engineers are arranging for the sculpture to be repaired,” said an airport spokesman.
