Seoul, South Korea — K-pop star Ailee was victimized into posing nude for the photos that have surfaced on the internet recently, says her management agency YMC Entertainment.
The 24-year-old’s management agency came forward to explain that the star was tricked into posing nude by unscrupulous parties.
YMC said the photos were taken in the United States, before she began a career in showbiz.
Ailee was cheated by people into posing nude for the photos, who told her they were necessary as part of her audition for a modeling job with a well-known underwear label.
YMC said Ailee only agreed to pose nude because the parties said they would keep things confidential.
She never heard from them again and did not get the modelling job.
When Ailee reported the matter to the police, she discovered that these people had used the same ploy on other female university students in the area.
Police never caught those involved in the scam.
“The event is a painful memory for her. We hope fans can help her avoid ever going through deeper pain, and continue working hard,” YMC Entertainment said.
