Singapore — A family’s 28-year-old maid has been arrested in Singapore for allegedly stabbing their 16-year-old daughter to death, say police.
Police responded to a call for assistance on Thursday at 12:57pm, and arrived at Block 856B on Tampines Street 82 to find the girl lying motionless in a bedroom, with two fatal stab wounds to her torso, according to reports.
Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.
The girl lived with her family on the 10th floor of the building.
Police are classifying the case as a murder investigation, and have arrested the 28-year-old maid as a murder suspect.
A neighbor said she heard shrieks coming from the flat about 12pm on Thursday.
