Warsaw, Poland —United Nations (U.N) on Climate Change action, China has promised to reduce its emissions per unit of economic output to 40-45 percent below 2005 levels by 2020.
The United States and China forced a deal at the last major climate summit in Copenhagen few years ago, China has promised to reduce its emissions.
Climate finance is a hot issue of the U.N. climate talks in Warsaw after the Philippines and parts of southeast Asia were ravaged this week by typhoon Haiyan (locally known Yolanda), one of the most powerful storms ever recorded, according to Yahoo report.
The negotiators from developing-world said at U.N. climate talks in Warsaw that a need something at that level of an international permanent mechanism to deal with growing climate “Loss and Damage”, world leaders response to disasters like the super typhoon that hit the Philippines recently.
