Messiah Singapore hacker — The man accused of being “The Messiah” hacker who attacked a government website in October wants a trial, his lawyer said in the Singapore High Court on Friday.
James Raj, messiah Singapore hacker who was arrested in Kuala Lumpur on November 4, allegedly hacked into the Ang Mo Kio Town Council’s website on October 28.
Besides hacking charges under the Misuse of Computer and Cybersecurity Act, the accused also faces three charges for drug consumption, and has been in hiding since 2011, according to reports.
He is currently remanded at the Institute of Mental Health for Psychiatric evaluation.
The case against the 35-year-old is scheduled to be heard again on November 26.
A YouTube video uploaded by the Anonymous Singapore group on October 31 referred to “The Messiah” and three hacking attacks – on the Ang Mo Kio Town Council website, the PAP Community Foundation website, and pop singer Sun Ho’s official website.
