Singapore — The annual anti-terror exercise was conducted by the Singapore’s Police Force and Civil Defence Force on Monday morning.
The exercise, codenamed Exercise Heartbeat, included several mock terrorist scenarios being played out, including a shooting rampage at Biopolis, a vehicle explosion at Plaza Singapura, and a suicide bomber attack at the Singapore Land Tower, according to reports.
This is the first time the Central Police Division, Clementi Police Division, and Tanglin Police Division have collaborated in the exercise. In the previous four years, the divisions operated separately for the various scenarios.
This year’s exercise also had 12 Safety and Security Watch Group buildings participating, which included the Concorde Hotel Singapore and the Maybank Tower.
