Bali — A tourist bus plunged into a ravine on the Indonesian island of Bali, killing seven people, including five Chinese tourists, on Monday afternoon.
The Indonesian driver and a tour guide were also killed, and all eight survivors were injured in the accident which occurred near Suluban Beach in the Pecatu resort area of southern Bali, said Beno Louhenapessy, traffic director at Bali Police Headquarters.
He said the 13 tourists were going to the sea temple of Pura Uluwatu from Sukuban when the bus engine stopped working while running uphill. The bus moved backwards and fell into the ravine, according to reports.
All 13 tourists were from China’s Henan Province.
