Singapore — A 24-year-old man was jailed for 30 months in Singapore for having sex with two underage girls, both of whom ended up pregnant.
Ahmad Kamal met both girls, aged 14 and 15, on an Internet chat site.
He had unprotected sex with the girls on nine different occasions between January and March of this year.
The court was told that after finding out about the pregnancies, he told one girl to “eat copious amounts of pineapple” in induce a miscarriage, and the other, that he did not want to take any responsibility for the child, according to a Straits Times report.
The offences were committed at the staircase landings of Housing Board blocks in Taman Jurong, Clementi and Bedok, said the report.
One of the babies was aborted, and the other has been delivered and is to be put up for adoption.
The maximum punishment for the offence is 10 years in jail and a fine.
