Singapore — The Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) arrested 61 people for illicit drug offences this week in a four-day island-wide operation in Singapore.
Conducted Monday through Friday, the operation included syndicated drug trafficking as well as street-level drug pushers, said a CNB statement released Friday evening.
Of the 61 suspects, 33 are under investigation for trafficking offences, while the rest are being investigated for possession and consumption, reported The Straits Times.
The drugs seized are worth over $161,000. They include 490 grams of heroin, 330 grams of crystal methamphetamine (‘Ice’), 140 grams of cannabis, 620 ‘Ecstasy’ tablets, 65 grams of ketamine, and 2,230 Erimin-5 tablets.
