NAIA terminal 3 shooting ambush of a southern Philippine town mayor Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 at suburban Pasay city south of Manila, Philippines.
Mayor Ukol Talumpa of Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur was declared dead on arrival at the Philippine Air Force General Hospital, said Honrado. The shooting incident happened past 11 in the morning outside the arrival area of the airport, the official said.
Including an 18-month-old boy, were killed while five others were wounded when motorcycle-riding armed men in police uniforms shot them at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 yesterday noon, according to report.
Five others were injured in the incident that happened in the loading bay of the departure area. The victims were taken to the Air Force General Hospital at Villamor Air Base in Pasay City.
According to Honoradpo, Talumpa and his party landed from a Cebu Pacific flight 5J-852 around 9 a.m. and had just stepped outside the arrival area when the gunmen opened fire on them. Some of the injured were bystanders.
Jose Angel Honrado, Manila International Airport Authority general manager, said in a press briefing that Talumpa’s wife, a 25-year-old relative and an 18-month-old baby were also killed.
