China girl who threw baby off 25th storey migrating to Singapore, video.
The 11-year-old girl from China who allegedly beat and then threw a baby toddler off a 25th storey building last month is migrating to Singapore with her mother, according to reports.
The China girl threw baby incident occurred when Yuanyuan, a baby boy reportedly just under two years of age, was in a lift with his mother in Chongqing, in southwest China.
CCTV footage shows the mother wheeling out the boy’s small green bike from the when the doors of the lift shut abruptly.
A ten-year-old girl entered the lift and picked up Yuanyuan as the doors started to close, with his frantic mother setting the bike down.
The video footage shows the girl, wearing a backpack, holding the baby for a few seconds before slamming him to the ground.
As he struggles to stand back up she repeatedly kicks him, hits him, and stamps on him.
As the lift doors open on the 25th floor the girl is seen grabbing the baby off the lift floor and pushing him out.
To the surprise of everyone, the boy was discovered covered with blood outside at the bottom of the building.
The girl then evidently threw Yuanyuan off the building from either a window or a balcony, according to the English language Chinese news website Shanghaiist.
The child was taken to a nearby hospital, and initial reports said he died from the severity of his injuries. But some sites carried updated reports which said the child had awoken in the hospital and was severely injured, but still alive.
The website ecns.cn reported that the girl told Yuanyuan’s mother that he was taken away by a boy, then corrected herself, saying a girl took him away.
It is not known if the girl knew the mother and Yuanyuan, or if any of the parties lived in the building.
Police have reportedly said the girl is too young to have charges pressed against her.
Here is a news report on the incident, but be warned it is disturbing:
