Authorities presume that the cause in Taiwan Water Park blast was the heat from the stage lighting or the cigarettes that ignited the corn starch, while it has yet to emerge exactly how the blast was triggered.
Before the incident of Liu Chih-wei, the first fatality died Monday, a 20-year-old Lee Pei-yun who had suffered 90 percent burns. Media reported that Lee’s 12-year-old brother was also hospitalised with 80 per cent burns.
There were some who tried to keep off the fire with fire extinguisher and help out those victims who were screaming and running for their lives. As the prosecutors investigate the three suspects they were released on bail charging to offences against public safety and negligence causing severe injuries.
