Diana Douglas, a Hollywood actress and model and the first wife of Kirk Douglas , died on Friday at the age of 92.
The actress was born Diana Love Dill in Bermuda where her family had lived for centuries. Diana was the youngest of six children in a prominent and wealthy old-line family.
It was confirmed by Donald Webster, her third husband of 15 years, after Diana was admitted to the hospital for about a month before,she died from cancer , 9 pm in a hospital in Woodland Hills, California.
According to The Associated Press, Diana met Douglas while she studied acting classes at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York.
They were married from 1943 to 1951, having two sons, Micheal and Joel. However, the two decided to divorced in the year 1951 after about eight years.
Diana appears in movies and televisions such as the 1987 Steve Martin film “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” and the TV shows “ER” and “The West Wing.” She spent six-decades being an actress and model as well.
Diana met Donald Webster, her third husband , in Washington. In the year 2002, they decided to get married in Bermuda and finally moved to California where they had a wonderful marriage.
“It Runs in The Family,” was her last appearance in which she co-starred in with Kirk Douglas, Michael Douglas and her grandson Cameron Douglas. GETTY IMAGES
