The sex tape involved a young Chinese couple, a man in black and a naked woman having passionate sex, in Uniqlo store fitting room. Viewed by millions of people and attacked by thousands of comments.
The store is one of city’s famous and considered “hottest” shopping destination in Beijing.
Cyberspace Administration of China said it summoned executives from the country s top social network service providers after censors took the clip down, Wednesday.
The government in China reacted upon the issue as it is “against socialist core values”.
The sex video went viral, thus spread so fast on social network, China’s Twitter-like Weibo and mobile messaging service WeChat.
According to Cyberspace Administration of China official, “The viral circulation of the obscene fitting room video on the Internet… has severely violated socialist core values” and suggested that it could have been publicity stunt.
“Highly concerned Web users have reprimanded the acts that are suspected vulgar marketing or event marketing… and have called for severe punishment,” the official added.
In a statement posted on website and blog , Japanese clothing chain asking customers to “abide by social moral standards, maintain social justice, and use the fitting rooms properly.”
According to the company, “As a responsible international brand, Uniqlo is dedicated to providing consumers with safe, comfortable and quality shopping experiences and locations,” “We would like to remind all customers to abide by society’s moral standard… and properly and appropriately use our fitting rooms.”
