The physical world is an outer reflection of an Inner Reality. Everything that appears “out there” is ultimately metaphorical.
This is also true of all other realities perceived – whether through dreams, visions, spiritual experiences of all kinds, and even the afterlife realms.
This is because Ultimate Reality is formless Awareness itself. And it is what creates all forms. The forms have no reality apart from Consciousness itself.
We can choose to go through life pretending that things are happening to us – a world utterly devoid of meaning or purpose.
Or we can begin to see that there’s something deeply mysterious going on outside our physical world.
A friend just reminded me of this when I mentioned that I strongly suspect that what we call “dreams” are actually real – at least as real as the physical world.
She responded with this: “I also believe the flip side….like the way we look for symbols and interpret dreams – we can glean as much from our waking lives as we do from dreams if we looked at them on that level.
The things we see and people we meet etc have layers to them and can be looked at and interpreted.”
It reminded me of a quote by Albert Einstein: “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle.
The other is as though everything is a miracle.”
There are times when everything seems magical.
And at other times everything seems mundane, perhaps even hostile. But ultimately we’re creating our own reality.
And I can assure you, life is a lot more fun when everything is magical. Image Cover artwork
