Burmese migrant workers Zaw Lin and Wai Phyo,  were on trial for murdering the British tourists David Miller, 24, and Hannah Witheridge, 23, last year.

The two holidaymakers were found dead on one of the tourist destination in Thailand, Koh tao or know as turtle Island.

It was September last year when Hannah Witheridge was found raped and dead, while Miller suffered severe head wounds.

December last year,  Zaw Lin and Wai Phyo were charged in less than three months after the bodies of Miller and Witheridge were found on a beach on Koh Tao.

According to Thai police,  Zaw Lin and Win Zaw Htun, two migrant workers from Myanmar, had confessed to the killings.

Suspects might charge death penalty, if they found guilty.

Pressure to solve the case then came up. Because of this, British police joined the investigation after Prime Minister David Cameron raised concerns.

However, Thailand’s police and their treatment to migrant workers are being questioned, who later confess they were tortured.

According to lead defence lawyer Nakhon Chomphuchat, “this appeared to be a situation where the accused had been tortured to confess to the crimes they are accused of.”

Rumor says that the Burmese migrant workers will not received fair trial in a country where poor rarely given justice.

The conduct of the Thai police became controversial on the issue of the two Burmese claimed that they were forced to publicly re-enact the murders.
