Samsung company recently announced that Samsung Galaxy Note 7 replacement is available in stores Wednesday.
Samsung has shipped more than 500,000 replacement units of the Galaxy Note 7 to carrier and retail stores in the U.S,.
The new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phones are available for exchange at retail stores as of Wednesday, nearly a week after the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a voluntary recall of devices sold before Sept. 15.
“New devices will be in stores no later than tomorrow and we will continue to take the necessary actions to ensure users are powering down and immediately exchanging recalled devices,”
The new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 replacement (details here) comes with a software update that will help owners distinguish whether their Note 7 has been impacted by the recall.
“Globally, the world’s top smartphone maker has recalled at least 2.5 million handsets, in a major setback for the company that is looking to claw back market share from rivals, including Apple AAPL -0.77% that recently released its latest iPhones.” Fortune reported.
Last week, Samsung officially recall alias pull back as many as 1 million units of Galaxy Note 7 circulating in the U.S.
The device is harmful to consumers because it has a battery problem that causes or it could catch fire suddenly.
The CPSC warned users to power down their devices and to stop using them.
There are already many similar fire incident outside a car on top of that.
Most recently, a man -as well as citizens of Florida, US- filed a lawsuit on Samsung Galaxy Note 7 after blazing in his pockets, resulting in injury.
