Tomatoes keeps skin look younger and prevents cancer

Studies shows tomatoes may help fight prostate cancer and at the same time help keeping the skin looking youthful.

Tomatoes, grown and eaten freely throughout the world has been discovered as very useful in fighting cancer specially prostate cancer and even keeps skin look younger. It is a fruit which alone can offer many nutrients, vitamins and minerals and helps in preventing various chronic diseases. It is the edible that is often red berry-type fruit which contains carotene lycopene. This lycopene is a powerful natural antioxidant and been found to help prevent prostate cancer especially in cooked tomatoes and improve the skin’s ability to protect against harmful UV rays.

Tomatoes are beneficial in creating anti-oxidant which helps in curing cancer problems. Having rich source of lycopene which helps in lowering the incidence of prostate cancer. Tomatoes also helps hastens skin healing and gives skin’s fresh glow. It contains antioxidants that strengthens and keeps the skin healthy. Tomatoes containing Vitamins A, C and E which gives great health benefits. With Vitamin A that keeps skin from getting dry, Vitamin C which improves skin texture as it is a powerful nutrient and the Vitamin E that has been known as skin protector against harmful free radicals which are responsible of having skin cancer and wrinkle formation.

Researchers at Manchester and Newcastle universities revealed that tomato can protect against sunburn and help keeping the skin looking youthful and can protect intrinsic structures of the skin. Studies shows that intake of tomatoes would increase levels of elastic fibers and at the same time decreases immediate redness induced by UVB radiation and damage of skin, thus tomatoes protects skin against sunburn. It provides smooth, shine and glow to our skin and help in improving skin texture yet reducing wrinkles.

Tomatoes gives health benefits and are used in diverse ways. They are the main ingredient in making pizza and are commonly used in pasta sauces. They are also used in raw salads and processed into tomato soup and even into ketchup.
