Donaire VS Vetyeka live in Macau results: Nonito Donaire Jr. defeated Simpiwe Vetyeka to annex the WBA featherweight title and gained his 5th belt at the Cotai Arena of the Venetian Resort in Macau.
Nonito Donaire, Jr.is a Filipino American professional boxer. Known as “The Filipino Flash,” Donaire is a five-division world champion and the current WBA Super Featherweight champion.
The Filipino Flash Donaire Jr. straightened out for a technical decision and win over Simpiwe Vetyeka seizing the WBA featherweight title in front of a sold-out crowd at the Venetian Resort’s Cotai Arena.
By technical decission, the fight went to the scorecards when Donaire could no longer continue due to a cut over his left eye. All three judges scored it 49-46.
“After the first round there was a headbutt. The ref asked me if I want him to stop the fight. I told him I want to continue,” he said after the fight.
A couple more headbutts from Vetyeka in the second round made matters worse for Donaire, who claimed he couldn’t see the punches because of the blood pouring from the cut.
