Stuck in Philippines as Lookout Bulletin Order against R&B singer Chris Brown, criminal complaint for fraud.
Christopher Maurice “Chris” Brown, 26-year-old, American recording artist, dancer and actor stuck in Philippines as country’s immigration refused singer to leave the country, Wednesday. Fraud complaint against Brown related to his cancelled concert in New Year’s Eve.
Glicerio Santos IV, Iglesia ni Cristo’s chief legal advisor, manages Philippine Arena requested help from Justice Secretary Leila De Lima on prosecuting the case against Chris Brown. Santos IV is acting on behalf of Maligaya Development Corporation.
Chris Brwon allegedly cancelled concert in the last-minute, religious group filed a fraud complaint to Brown, not appearing on the concert, New Year’s Eve. Concert supposedly held at Philippine Arena, Iglesia ni Cristo-owned, December 31, 2014.
In statement of immigration bureau said, Brown must prove there were no grounds to charge him with fraud before he is allowed to leave the country. State prosecutors are studying the Iglesia complaint.
The compliant that was filed by Maligaya Development Corp, pointing Brown and his Canadian promoter, John Michael Pio Roda. Allegedly the singer cancelled and backed out of the concert, thus having been paid in full for a million US dollars contract.
As of now, Chris Brown remains in the Philippines. Lookout Bulletin Order issued against him, confirmed Justice Secretary De Lima. Brown needs to face and disprove the allegations of fraud in order to acquire an Emigration Clearance Certificate, allowing him to leave the country.
Immigration bureau spokesperson Dana Mengote stated, “The Bureau of Immigration placed international artist Chris Brown and his promoter, John Michael Pio Roda, in its immigration lookout bulletin, pursuant to an order by the Department of Justice”.
In a video posted on Instagram, 26-year old singer Chris Brown pleaded for permission to fly back home to Los Angeles. The video was taken in the hotel room as singer do break dancing, he was not alone as his companion was also inside.
Brown clowns, posted videos on Instagram asking, “Can somebody please tell me what the (expletive) is going on?”
“I don’t know, I’m reading headlines after headlines, what the (expletive)!” he added, smiling as his companions laugh in the background while sprawled on sofas.
The singer scheduled concert in Hong Kong, Wednesday, as he is still stuck in Philippines it was rescheduled to Thursday. Until Brown can’t settle the case, scheduled of his concerts still tentative, new date is as yet unconfirmed.IMAGE/www.cbc.ca
