Former Japanese adult video actress Maria Ozawa expressed her dismay on social media after Robin Padilla announced he will backed out from their movie “Nilalang.”
On her Instagram account (@maria.ozawa), the 29 year-old Japanese actress Maria Ozawa calls Robin Padilla “unprofessional” for his decision to pull out 10 days before their shooting of the movie. The actress said in her two Instagram posts that there are no celebrities to cancel job 10 days before shooting starts.
The movie “Nilalang” was supposed to be one of the film entries in the 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival. It was also the first movie project with the Japanese actress Maria Ozawa.
“its not that i really wanted to film w/ robin but i think it was so unProfessional of him to call it off 10days before the shooting starts… i feel so sorry for the film director’s,staff..etc”, Maria Ozawa posted this caption on 1 of her Instagram posts.
Robin Padilla canceled his part in the MMFF movie to attend to his wife Mariel Rodriguez’ delicate pregnancy.
Vidanes Celebrity Marketing head Betchay Vidanes and Haunted Tower Productions issued a statement and apology to the production and to Maria Ozawa. Part of the statement says:
“It is with great regret that we have to inform all that due to extenuating personal circumstances, Mr. Robin Padilla has had to make the decision to withdraw from the film. I would like to let you know that this decision making process has been very hard as Mr. Padilla’s reputation shows that he has the highest regards for those he commits to work with. But his withdrawal is due to the fact of needing to attend to his wife Mariel, as she is experiencing a delicate pregnancy. Mariel is currently pregnant with triplets, and also suffered a miscarriage in March of this year.”
MFT Group of Companies, the main financier of “Nilalang,” said that they will no longer finance the movie after Robin Padilla announced he will no longer be part of the project, according to reports. SCREENGRAB FROM MARIA OZAWA’S INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT
