One Direction, confirmed to take a break in 2016

Pop boy band will temporarily go on hiatus in March 2016 for a year, after fifth album.

One Direction, an English-Irish pop boy band based in London confirmed to take a break in March next year to pursue solo careers and will return after a year. They will separate after completing their fifth album and their tour this autumn.

The band was formed after Entertainment mogul Simon Cowell put them together in 2010. Horan, Tomlinson, Payne, Harry Styles and Zayn Malik auditioned individually for British TV talent show “The X Factor,” where they started and been discovered. After five years, One Direction entertained and been famous all around the globe confirmed to take a break.

One Direction producer and songwriter Julian Bunetta, told reporters, “I know they’re taking a much-deserved break.”, “They’ve been doing something that no band has ever done — five albums, five tours, and a movie in five years. It’s pretty prolific and incredible. It’s up to them. They might take a year off and miss it. They might take a year off and say you know what, I need another year off.”

Niall Horan, 21 year-old band member stated after rumor came up, “Ok so lots of rumours going round. We are not splitting up, but we will be taking a well earned break at some point next year.”, “Don’t worry though, we still have lots we want to achieve!”

The group been praised by many critics, with its lyrical depth and musical composition, as well as the group’s level of involvement in the production process. In short time in music industry, they received numerous achievements including five Brit Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, eleven MTV Europe Music Awards, and nineteen Teen Choice Awards out of nineteen nominations.
