Filipino basketball fan will be seeing the NBA MVP face to face on September with Under Armour.
Stephen Curry, the NBA Most Valuable Player will soon to visit Manila, Philippines on 5 September with Under Amour. The sportswear company promotes its products through sponsorship agreements with college athletic teams, professional teams and celebrity athletes, one of this is Curry who will be having a tour “UA Roadshow”.
He will also visiting Japan and China, a part of his Asian tour. Stephen Curry is an American professional basketball player, currently plays for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association. He led the Warriors in 2015 to their first NBA championship since 1975 and became the 2015 NBA Most Valuable Player and a two-time NBA All-Star 27.
Promoting Under Amour, Curry stated, “Together with Under Armour, I’m looking forward to sharing my energy and commitment to basketball with the fans and basketball players in Asia who will leave their mark on the game.”
Under Armour is a new brand of sports wear that Curry is endorsing. It is an American sports clothing and accessories company, supplier of sportswear and casual apparel. Founded by Kevin Plank and began offering footwear in 2006.
“We have some special things planned for some of the best basketball fans in the world.”, “China and the Philippines have a rich cultural connection to basketball, and I’ve heard the game is becoming more popular in Japan by the day,” Stephen Curry added.
He had his first All-Star appearance after voted by the fans as a starter for the Western Conference. He was the overall leading who gained vote of 2015 NBA All-Star Game and a two-time gold medalist as a member of the United States men’s national basketball team in both 2010 and 2014 and received silver medal, Under-19 USA team in 2007.
During the 2010–11 season, he had surgery on his right ankle which he got from multiple sprains, May 2011. By the start of lockout-shortened season, Curry was ready to play with new head coach Mark Jackson, however, sprained his surgically repaired right ankle during an exhibition game.
