The Philippine singer updates the condition of her mother Elizabeth Ramsey after rushed to the hospital last week.
The 45 year-old Singer-Actress, Jaya, posted an update upon the condition of her mother Actress-comedienne Elizabeth Ramsey after she was rushed to the hospital last week. Jay confirmed, her mother is now recovering after the incident.
Elizabeth Ramsey, 83 year-old Filipina stand-up comedienne, singer and actress. She is the mother of Filipina recording artist Jaya. ELizabeth is best known for her trademark Visayan-accented dialogues. She is named as the “Original Queen of Comedy” and the country’s “Queen of Rock and Roll” as she performs in stage using English or Tagalog in Visayan accent. She was discovered after winning a singing contest in Student Canteen, the first noontime show on Philippine television, in 1958.
Recently, Elizabeth was rushed to the hospital after she suffered stroke, Wednesday. Elizabeth Ramsey’s condition is now stable after she was taken to the hospital last week. DZMM’s Jobert Sucaldito claimed that the 83-year-old Ramsey has been confined at the intensive care unit of the Philippine Heart Center.
Jaya wrote, “Praise God for His mercy. Mama Beth Ramsey did NOT have a stroke. Instead a seizure due to diabetes/hyperglycemia. She is moving and is recovering fast and communicates constantly. AYAW NA RAW NYA SA OSPITAL!!! Thank you all very much for all the prayers. God bless you Mama and all of you who sent love and hugs!!! We love all of you.”, “Thank you to all of you who prayed for Mama Beth. God bless all of you and will update you soon of her condition, but I promise you, prayers really work!!!!
